Etsy Goes Live on ACP — Direct Purchases in ChatGPT

Etsy has become one of the first major marketplaces to go live on OpenAI's Agentic Commerce Protocol. US ChatGPT users can now discover and purchase items from Etsy sellers without ever leaving the chat interface.

This represents a fundamental change in how Etsy sellers' products are discovered and sold. The traditional funnel — browse site, search, compare, add to cart, checkout — is compressed into a single conversational flow mediated by an AI agent.

For Etsy sellers, the challenge is clear: traditional Etsy analytics show web traffic patterns, but ACP transactions happen entirely within ChatGPT. Sellers have zero visibility into this new channel without specialized tooling.
